Deep in the wild jungle lived a sneaky crocodile named Crank, known far and wide as the Crocodile Bandit. With a leafy mask on his scaly face and a sack of stolen trinkets on his back, Crank slithered silently through rivers and swamps, stealing shiny things from unsuspecting animals.
One sunny morning, Crank heard a tale from a chattering parrot about the Jungle Jewel—a magical gem that glowed like a star and brought peace to the entire jungle. But the jewel was protected by the fiercest creature around: Leo the Lion, king of the jungle.
Crank knew he couldn't steal it alone, so he teamed up with Hogo, a greedy hyena with a loud laugh and a love for treasure. That night, under the silver moonlight, the two crept toward Leo’s cave. They dodged vines, tiptoed over rocks, and finally reached the glowing gem.
Just as Crank reached out his claw, a mighty roar shook the ground. “ROOOAR!” Leo leapt out from the shadows.
Crank froze. Hogo spun around to escape but slipped on a banana peel dropped by jungle monkeys earlier that day.
Leo stood tall. “The Jungle Jewel is not for thieves. It shines only for those who protect the jungle and help others.”
Crank looked down. “We didn’t know…”
“Well, now you do,” said Leo. “You can choose to change.”
Feeling guilty, Crank returned all the treasures he had stolen. Hogo, still rubbing his sore bottom, agreed to stop hoarding and share his food with hungry animals.
From that day on, Crank became the Jungle Helper, and Hogo was known as the Laughing Giver. The Jungle Jewel shone brighter than ever.
